The Oosterweel connection in Antwerp is often called the “construction site of the century.” It is one of Belgium’s largest infrastructure projects, with TM ROCO playing a central role in delivering the works. The project is divided into multiple lots, with main contractors such as BESIX, Denys, and Jan De Nul working alongside hundreds of subcontractors. Its scale is impressive, with a major impact on mobility in and around Antwerp, and on the wider construction sector in Flanders and beyond.

The complexity of Oosterweel is not only in the infrastructure itself, but also in its organisation. In 2025 alone, there were 820 active subcontractors, with a total of 4,520 registered workers from 78 different nationalities. This massive flow of people, documents, and obligations is managed in a safe and efficient way with Conneqtr. Our platform today supports more than 4,500 construction sites, with around 15,000 active users. In addition, more than 7,500 subcontractors are connected to the system.

“We really needed new software that could make this possible. The old way of working was no longer sustainable for the future.”

The Oosterweel case shows the impact of digitalisation in construction. Where work once relied on manual processes and email, Conneqtr now brings everything together in one central, controlled, and transparent digital environment—making one of Belgium’s largest construction sites manageable and transparent.

Conneqtr brings all administrative and safety processes together in one clear platform. Information is no longer spread across different systems or inboxes, but is centrally available to all teams involved. The biggest benefit? Less duplicate administration, improved safety, and real-time insight into who is on site.
